Mamon Ride on FOX2 News! UPDATE! The Guestbook is up and running again. We got hit pretty hard with spam and hope to keep them out....
I would like to THANK ALL....for your support.
Thanks for visiting the MamonRide for Children Website... We think about medically taking care of kids when they are sick, but what about their education while hospitalized? Over 10 years ago, Kaz visited a friend's child who was in Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. On his way out, he noticed the pictures and drawings on the walls. This induced him to stop and say, "Hey what about the kids education while they are in the hospital?" So after six weeks he organized his first ride and had 703 bikes show up. Together they raised $15,500 to help the kids continue their education, and to help keep their minds off their illness. Several rides have spun off from that first ride. So far: 10 annual Mamon Rides, 7 Halloween Rides, 3 Easter Rides, a special visit from SANTA, Mamon at the Whaley House in Flint, and a trip to Minnesota to the Cancer Center. We have had over 7500 people riding with us, we've helped 28 hospitals and raised over $350,000 in cash and have distributed 1100 computers (valued at $250,000+) donated by EDS and GM to 30 hospitals throughout Michigan and Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

Please
take a look
at the Coach "The Journey" above. I recently purchased this coach not only
for my personal use, but to reach out and continue to be able to HELP
CHILDREN and their WISH requests. I often wondered, "What would it be
like, if this 40' coach rolled up in front of their home to take them for
special treatments, if they were unable to fly? Or
maybe a child whose final dream is to take a trip to Disney World, or even
to the Zoo?
How
cool would it be to be taken there by this huge bus?"
The
interior would have large screen TVs for video games, Nintendo, X-Box
games. The
children will also be served cold drinks, and snacks.... All to make this
Journey, a very special one. There will
even be an area
where the kids would feel like they are on a roller coaster, seeing
nothing but roadway right in front of them!
The
coach would be complete with a bathroom, eating area and also a bedroom.
There will be seating for several so that parents
could make the trip too!
We
are in the middle of converting the interior of the coach to be similar
to a house inside...a very special one. We are asking for personal
or corporate donations of products or supplies. We would be grateful for all charitable contributions. |
